I already posted the first attempt on fb so don't think i will post the finished one for a while (the unfinished was very popular, to my surprise) Happy painting and happy day after Thanksgiving--hope yours was wonderful as my was---gooooood food and even better company-nothing better than sharing food with loved ones.

Forever Lilacs
This is not quite done but I went ahead and posted it. I want to live with it a while so then I will know what to do.(as always) I do know I want to work more on the vase and also maybe some on the Lilacs--this is a good start tho. Its been so long since I have painted, wasn't comfortable for a while---I hate that! But it got better the longer I painted.

Peaches w/Brass and Daisies (revisited)
Long story short, I painted this a long while back and have reworked it twice. It had to be done because i tried to take varnish off of it for a art show. (I hurried with the varnish and did not put it on right) When I tried to take the varnish off of it, it took some paint off and worst of all the background pilled up in dark little dots like on a sweater --hard to explain-but it was horrible! I left it for a long time, and then I repainted the background and some of the daisies. I didn't like it so I worked on it again. I hope this is better. I will never do that again, it was not a good thing. Framed ($350)

I posted this last night and looked at it and thought. "I shouldn't have posted it " . So I erased it off of fb and this blog. Worked a little on it and fixed what I hated so maybe I won't erase again! LOL

Around the Bend
I started a new painting from another photo from Nancy Medina's Lees Summit class last week. Everyone was taking pictures of the pictures and I just got this one. This is the first ugly base in. As you see, I don't have a fancy swanky studio or easel...I paint at the kitchen table. Not complaining or bragging its just what I do. LOL

We painted Roses the 1st day of Nancy Madina's workshop in Lees Summit. She did her demo first and her roses were in a beautiful glass vase. I just had to put mine in brass. I did some finishing touches (as I always do) Happy painting!

French Courtyard...
Nancy Medina came to town for our yearly classes and I started painting this on one of the days. I know we painted roses the 1st day, then she did a demo of the other French scene, then one day she did a beautiful set-up of flowers--It was a 4 day workshop. I was not able to paint along with her demos--I watched and took notes. Anyway I started this one day and worked on it the last day--we quit early so I did most of it at home today (Tuesday) It is not quite done, I have to let it dry a little before I can finish it. I have another photo of a French scene that I might try when I have time. I need to work more on the roses before I post it--hope to get that done maybe tomorrow. Happy Painting! :-)

Ruger
Finally had time to work on Ruger--I redid the background again----I will let it dry and then varnish and take to my friend Tim, at work. So much has been going on in my life--I just did not have time to get back to this painting. Hope he likes it after all this wait! My son said " I love that dog" I love him too, Ruger has become my dog! LOL
My goodness --this has been going on since February (Tim shoulda never said "NO Hurry" :-)

RUGER
I changed everything on this --mainly background --as you can see from the previous posts. I like it better--i worked on Ruger too, but made his face too dark. I worked on the deck--but I need to redo it too--you change one thing and it affects everything else. It's getting there but needs lots more work. HAPPY PAINTING! :-)

Ruger
Today, Monday, we got snow.... Nothing like New England, so I don't dare complain. Because of the snow, I didn't go to work, so-----I painted. There is a lot more to do but I have everything covered so I now can see what I need to do. Happy Painting!

Ruger (i think)
This is another commission--it is from a friend at work--he had a picture of his sweet dog sitting on the back of his truck but he wanted the dog on the dock--so he took a pic of the dog on the dock but he didn't like the picture of Ruger as well --are you following this--hahaha--Anyway ugly start to find my way. I wish someday someone will commission me to paint my love---FLOWERS or better yet pick from what i have already painted!! oh dear, that is so ungrateful---this is fun to do this - to figure it all out it's like a puzzle. stay tuned!!!!

Hello Sunshine
I freshened up this little painting that I painted long time ago in Nancy Medinas' class--I loaded the old version below.I felt like the petal hanging over looked very awkward when seeing it in person and the center looked like a dark hole. The vase in the old version was so plain--it looked like just two colors. I added some more hints of the purple flowers---I am happier with this now..
